The course “Study of the Classic Yogas” proposes an intense training to delve into a journey through the ancient yogas, promoting self-discipline and self-knowledge through the gradual development of a yogic lifestyle.

Who is it for?

The course is open to yoga instructors and practitioners who wish to develop a greater yogic understanding.

What are you taking?

Understanding, experience, and wisdom to  cultivate and maintain a yogic lifestyle that promotes personal and social well – being.

Integrate into daily life the practices of classical yogas that promote self-reflection and self-development, generators of empathy, compassion and altruism.

Tools that promote recovering, strengthening and maintaining physical, mental and emotional health, prosociality, psychological and psychosocial support.

A lot of personal wealth, fostered by the process of self – knowledge and learning acquired by sharing a deep spiritual experience with the rest of the participants.

Program Structure

In Person Activities

Intensive for 35 days – January, February & March (Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays).

Wednesday (3 hrs. morning or evening)

Saturdays & Sundays –  8:30 to 12:30

Starting date to be determined

  • Every Friday during 39 weeks a new module will open.

Activities to be carried out by the student:

  • Regular self-practice at home.
  • Keep and submit regularly a journal of your self-practice.
  • Weekly online evaluations.

If any participant for any unforeseen reason needs more time to complete the 39 modules, they will need to appropriately justify their personal circumstance.

The YPV Foundation will invite the students of the course to participate in projects that generate social welfare, for which they can teach yoga classes or develop some other activity appropriate to their knowledge and ability.

  • Being over 18 years old.
  • Being able to dedicate weekly approximately 12 hours to study.
  • Being able to dedicate weekly approximately 7 hours of self-practice (asana, pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation techniques)
